Opportunity

Fuel station owners in emerging markets — Pakistan, the Middle East, and Africa — run complex daily operations with almost no digital tooling. Fuel levels, nozzle activity, staff shifts, customer credit, supplier payments, expenses, invoices — all tracked manually, if at all. The result is lost revenue, poor accountability, and no clear picture of whether the business is actually profitable. Pump Manager was built to change that. We designed and built it from scratch as our own product — a complete fuel station management platform built specifically for this market, available on Android, iOS, and the web.

Approach

We built Pump Manager as a three-surface product from the ground up: a Flutter mobile app for owners and staff on the ground, a React web admin panel for deeper management and reporting, and a React landing page for the product itself. Firebase underpins the entire platform — handling authentication, real-time data, and storage across all surfaces. A role-based access model was a core design decision from the start, separating what owners see from what employees can access and do.

Solution

1. Owner Dashboard A real-time command centre giving the owner full visibility across the station — fuel levels, tank status, pump and nozzle activity, daily sales, expenses, customer dues, and employee logs, all in one place. 2. Employee Dashboard A separate, role-based view for staff — limited to the features and data relevant to their role, with all actions tracked in system logs for full accountability. 3. Fuel, Tank & Nozzle Management Real-time fuel level monitoring across tanks, linked nozzles, and full movement history. Supports petrol, diesel, CNG, and other fuel types. 4. Customer & Invoice Management Customer profiles with purchase history, professional invoice generation, cash and bank payment recording, and outstanding dues tracking. 5. Supplier & Product Management Fuel and non-fuel product tracking, supplier records, payment history, and product-level sales performance. 6. Expense & Salary Management Daily expense recording, employee salary management, and operational cost tracking — giving owners a clear picture of real profitability. 7. Reports & Analytics Daily, monthly, and category-specific reports covering sales, fuel usage, customer payments, employee payments, supplier payments, and expenses. 8. Web Admin Panel A React-based web dashboard for owners who need deeper access to reports, configuration, and business data beyond the mobile app.

Impact

Pump Manager is live on the App Store and Google Play, with early users already rating it positively for making daily pump operations simpler and more organised. It demonstrates our ability to design, build, and ship a multi-surface business product end-to-end — from mobile to web to landing page — targeting a real operational gap in an underserved market.
